Given the circumstances of this order, it would be unrealistic to have expected anything beyond what I recieved. That said, while these are not five star blades, this is most definately a five star deal. The products arrived exactly as shown, all in excellent condition. If this will be your first katana, this order is a solid choice. The wakizashi and tanto are nice bonuses, seeing as how the cost of the entire order is usually the cost of one decent peice, not three. In the spirit of preventing self injury, I reccomend training with a bokken or shinai prior to ordering a katana, as well as (at the very least) looking through a book on kendo or some equivalent. You may also want to invest in a blade maintenance kit that involves a sharpener; to keep them in excellent condition.

Vary nice swords nice and clean no dents or scraches. all well made by the look of it. a nice stand simple to place together. a simple black stand nothing on it. the sword scarabs were a plastic case with the look of wood not real wood. the tanto blade was a small bent but it bent back to place every thing was her and got her quick. a nice set for decoration

Well i received the items within the same time they said, and at first hand they look really excellent, i haven’t tried the stand out yet but the katana, wakizashi and tanto all fell right in weight and looks, its just as the description said, i found 1 or 2 small dents in the scabbards but they were minimal i liked them very much, its my first set to be honest but they looked fine and all.
About the sharpness, they weren’t very sharp if at all but the blade looks nice and stable, just what i expected for what i paid, not much but not terrible!

Well it is hard to review this item since I never really received it. The first order I tried, I received a completely different set from the Martial Arts Land seller. Since they were backed by Amazon, I received a full refund and a mark for return shipping.
Since the other reviewer seemed to get exactly what was pictured, I thought that I would try again through the colorful items seller. Again what I received did not look like what is pictured here, although it was half close at least. I contacted this seller to see about getting the actual item pictured, but I never did get a answer.
Oh well, the set that I finished up with does not look terrible, but the ones pictured would have made a much nicer decoration.
