Hey today we can make our characters for Tera online the japanese open beta. I will make some gameplay on the 8th or so when the official beta starts and allows us to go in and play! We get to play for 10 days free then that is it :[ No English or North American beta or release date yet. This game caught my eye because of blade and soul. And although tera and blade and soul is not released yet the combat is most like vindictus except without so many loading zones and instances. Tera is an open world action MMO. Let me know if you plot to play it when it releases for us english speakers. Classes : Sorcerer , warrior , archer , mystic, lancer , priest , lancer , berserker , slayer Races : Aman , high elf , human , castanic , baraka , popori What will you be?

Rakuten Travel Review – Are They A Reliable Japanese Online Hotel Booking Company?

Rakuten Travel Review – Are They A Reliable Japanese Online Hotel Booking Company?

Traveling in Japan is a dream come right for most. It’s a fascinating country steeped in tradition yet futuristic at the same time. But when it comes to the prices of hotels in Japan it can become a real nightmare. Japan after all is one of the most expensive countries to visit in Asia. But, that does not mean that you won’t find the best hotel deals in Tokyo, Kyoto and other exciting cities in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Rakuten Travel Inc. is just one of many hotel reservation agencies that is headquartered in Japan. But they are by far one of the most well loved agencies on the Internet. Established in 2002 Rakuten Travel is a publicly traded company in Japan’s stock market, further cementing Rakuten’s reputation as Japan’s premier hotel reservation system for tourist all around the world.

Though Rakuten Travel mainly focuses in Japanese hotel industry they are also able to provide discount hotel rates throughout Asia. Though I find that hotel rates for other countries are not as deeply discounted as hotels in Japan. Overall Rakuten represents over 24,000 hotels and Ryokans.

One fantastic function on their website is the ‘Search by Japan Map’. It’s a fantastic function that helps travelers plot on where to stay since the country has so many fascinating districts and cities to visit.

How is Rakuten Travel able to provide the best hotel rates in Japan?

Rakuten Travel specializes in the city’s hotel market and has a major advantage with its Internet presence. Hotels in Japan realize that being represented by Rakuten would mean that their property would be made known to even more travelers searching for a place to stay in Japan. These hotels offer Rakuten a deeply discounted room rates in which it is then passed onto guests who book through their reservation system.

As a travel consultant I always recommend travelers to book hotels through a local hotel agency. That’s the essential tip for finding the best hotel deals. Since Rakuten is a locally based agency in Japan they are more knowledgeable about their own hotel market and offer the better hotel room rates than non-Japanese Internet travel agencies.

How to Speak Japanese Online Course: Learn Japanese On Your Own Time

How to Speak Japanese Online Course: Learn Japanese On Your Own Time

Do you want to learn to read and speak Japanese, but are worried it’s too hard a language? Or have been turned off by the expensive price of lessons?

Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be hard, and it can really be very cheap. You can really get started immediately from the comfort of your own computer with Rocket Japanese, an adequate online course that teaches in a very clear-cut, simple manner. It’s much cheaper than taking a university course, spending much more on Rosetta Stone: Japanese, or tutoring, and is so much more interactive.

Here’s what Rocket Japanese customers get with their buy:

First of all, the course is interactive, meaning there are lessons you can listen to in MP3 format or right on your Internet screen. You also get some videos and online training games.

The lessons also get more challenging in terms of grammar and vocabulary. I’m generally a quick learner of language, but I certainly was challenged by this course, which covers both the basics and the more advanced topics. It’s a course that will teach you everything, but challenge you as well. Which I personally want, anyway.

The course is divided in to 6 Parts according to topic and theme, including 1) Greeting, Meeting, Food, and Drink, 2) Travel, 3) Nightlife, 4) Arts and Culture, 5) Family and Friends, and 6) Business Japanese.

But is it worth the value? I reckon so. I mean, for only .95 for the interactive course, why not give it a try? You can also buy a hardcover edition with 20 CDs, but that costs more, so it depends on your budget. Still, all the levels are in one course, and cost a FRACTION less than just ONE level of the Rosetta Japanese course.  I would argue as well that they are just as excellent as the Rosetta course.

Overall, I give Rocket Japanese a medium BUY recommendation. It’s simple yet challenging, simple but interactive, and best for some, of course, VERY AFFORDABLE! Who couldn’t agree with all that?

I recommend this course for really getting your foundation down.  If you’re looking to learn the slang and practice speaking more, certainly find a tutor and try to experience living in Japan.

If all you want is a basic understanding or to get your foundation right, but, this really is probably the best place to start.  Rosetta Japanese is excellent, but you shouldn’t spend the ridiculous amount of money it costs to learn what you can for a fraction, with Rocket Japanese.

If you’re interested, check out the e-course right here. Delight in!

Buying a Medieval Sword Online

Buying a Medieval Sword Online

Buying the right sword can be a task in itself. There are thousands of online retailers, many different sword manufacturers, and many different types of metals that swords are forged from. If this is your first sword then you should make sure to find the right one that will fit your needs and expectations. When you find a seller you feel comfortable with, then the sword should be of excellent quality and help to get your sword collection off to a excellent start.

The first choice you have to make is why you want a sword. This will greatly help you in choosing your first sword. There are two main reasons I will describe here. If you want a sword to hang on the wall as a show piece that you occasionally take down to show to friends then you should look for a sword that is made from stainless steel as it will require small or no maintenance. If your looking for a functional battle ready sword, make sure you realize these swords take care and maintanence as they are forged from high carbon steel that can rust over time when not taken care of properly.

Narrow your choice down to one of the three basic sword types.

Because there are many different swords to choose from, you should choose which of the three main types of swords you want to get.

* Museum Replicas of original swords: You may want to get a sword that is a replica of an authentic historical sword such as a Scottish claymore, medieval sword, or Spanish rapier.

* Movie Replicas: You may want to get a sword that you have seen in a movie, such as the Lord of the Rings or Eragon movie swords that are very well loved.

* Fantasy Swords: These swords can have a very different look, often times they have intricate handles and unique blade shapes and are primarily for show purposes.

It is recommended that you only buy a new sword from a reputable retailer. Make sure they have at least a 14 day guarantee that if there are any problems with the sword you can just send it back and try another sword. When looking at online sword sites make sure the online store offers state of the art 128 bit SSL industry standard security, this means you the customer have the peace of mind knowing your shopping is safe and secure. Make sure they are a HACKER SAFE® site, this helps protect you from identity theft and credit card fraud by passing the FBI/SANS Internet Security Test every day. Thus offering complete security and peace of mind to you. Also make sure the site has a clearly posted customer support telephone number you can call, and do the have a customer support section on there site or help section. These factors are vital in feeling safe with your online sword buy.

Building a sword collection is a worth while leisure activity, just be sure you have enough wall space to add these wonderful collectable pieces too.
